I am a family medicine physician who practices both Western and alternative medicine. Because people respond to different approaches at different times, I try to incorporate a variety of perspectives on healing. In addition to Western medicine, I also do acupuncture, osteopathy, and Lovestream energy work. These modalities can be useful in conjunction with Western medicine; they also can be helpful when Western medicine does not provide adequate relief or when people prefer not to take a lot of medications. These treatment options also can be beneficial when diagnostic studies might not reveal any distinct illness, but people still feel unwell.
To address people's varying needs, I try to tailor my approach, depending on their circumstances and interests. When seeing somebody for the first time, I usually take a history and physical, and then give a treatment of acupuncture, osteopathy, and/or energy work. An initial appointment usually lasts about two hours and a follow-up appointment about an hour. I see people with a wide variety of conditions, including:
• respiratory disorders - e.g. asthma, bronchitis, sinusitis, allergies
• digestive disorders - e.g. irritable bowel syndrome, heartburn, indigestion, constipation, diarrhea
• musculoskeletal/pain conditions - e.g. neck, shoulder, elbow, back, knee, or foot pain; tendinitis, frozen shoulder, fibromyalgia, arthritis, TMJ syndrome
• gynecological conditions - e.g. menstrual disorders, PMS
• psychological and stress-related conditions - e.g. depression, anxiety, fatigue, insomnia, frequent colds
• neurological conditions - e.g. headaches, sciatica, carpal tunnel syndrome
Good health requires the harmonious balance and unimpeded flow of energy. Energy can become unbalanced for a number of reasons, such as injury, poor posture, repetitive strain, negativity, inability to handle stress, poor diet, and unhealthy lifestyle. Acupuncture, osteopathy, and energy work all facilitate the natural balance and flow of energyacupuncture via fine needles, osteopathy via gentle, hands-on manipulation, and energy work via a nonverbal transference of wisdom energies. These modalities all promote ideal physical, emotional, and mental well-being.
Patients of all ages are welcome. Se habla español.
